The Martian

The story got better around 2/3rds of the way through, and the characters began to grow on me. Overall I was invested in the story and I wanted to see how it ended, but it was fairly predictable. I didn't expect a large twist or turn, but I think I expected a little less of a "fairy tale" ending, or maybe a bit more of a sci-fi one that included people looking back from the future, etc... There was more science in it than I would've liked which weighed the story down at times.
