Notes
There's more I didn't like about this movie than I liked, but part of that might be on me. The first part was the reason behind this movie felt rushed. It felt like Barry just all of a sudden had this emotional breakdown about his mom and couldn't take it. Maybe this had been building with prior DC movies and I just hadn't seen it, but this felt like it came out of nowhere. The second was Barry's femininity. I didn't expect him to be this macho man (we have Batman for that), but I didn't expect him to be the way he was. That was really off-putting. The CG was bad, but I could look past that. But the ending to the story just didn't make a ton of sense. He gets confronted by this alternate version of himself he helps create because the version of him he creates goes crazy. It's the whole Terminator time paradox which doesn't make sense because they tried to explain time away as spaghetti not a linear string. Which if that's the case then there should be no way for Barry to go back and fix anything he'd done. He should be stuck with the consequences of his choice. Anyway, the movie was fine and entertaining, but Batman was the best thing in a Flash movie, which isn't a shining endorsement. Ha!
