Ted Lasso: Season 2

I gave up on this show. The first season was overall great. It had language and some sexual promiscuity but it was overall pretty tame. This second season has ramped it all up, and I'm just not ok with it. The story line isn't as heartwarming and the characters aren't quite as lovable when they're doing deplorable things. I'd say this was one that lost the plot a bit in its success. Aug 13, 2023 8:00 PM I started watching this again. I still overall like the characters. I just wish they weren't going in a direction of more smutty content. This was a more tame episode overall though and it was centered around Christmas so it was a little more *wholesome*s a little more *wholesome*. Maybe I'll end up finishing this series. Aug 27, 2023 I completed Ted Lasso: Season 2. After watching it fully, there's some of it I really liked, but some of it I hated. Mainly Nate's character arc. I realize it can't be all bubbly and happy all the time, but it just seemed like such a downer of a season compared to Season 1. I'm going to settle on 3 stars. Overall I felt like this season lacked much purpose behind the depth they were going for. Ted is supposed to be hiding his brokenness behind his bubbly-ness, but it didn't make any sense why this was coming out of him now, at this point in the story. Also Nate is mad at Ted because he ignored him? Really? Someone who takes all the abuse in the world all of a sudden gets mad because Ted happens to use the plays he gives him, but doesn't give him *enough* credit? I don't know. I just didn't buy all of it. I mostly just plough-ed through it to be done. I probably should've left it dropped, but I thought it was only 10 episodes (not 12) so I figured it wouldn't take that long to finish. Ha.
