This is a largely successful Chinese martial arts romance. I didn't care for it much the first time I saw it but rewatching it now I have a greater respect for the artistry of it. Some of it is still quite corny but I think that's a result of the cultural motifs of the romance between Jen and Ho. The choreography is impressive and the fights are well done. There was a bit of humor thrown in too with the poor man being beaten up that reminded Jen of her husband because of his name.
Description
