Notes

Overall this movie was well made. The animation has come a LONG way in the last 10 years. The avatars look much more realistic. There is still story-arcs that are used that are just unrealistic. The colonel is re-created into an avatar body using a copy of his mind that they created? This wasn't something they even alluded to being possible in the last movie, it's just thrown in as "yep we have all this crazy technology." Even if they did, it doesn't make sense why they'd put them in avatar bodies? Like they're coming to wipe the avatars out, just continue to brute force the problem like they did last time? It had been working, so just throw more resources at it. But if I throw that pretense aside the movie is enjoyable. It's depressingly tragic in parts, but it was well made. I'm actually mildly looking forward to the next one.
