The fact that there's a tv intrigued me to start this book, but so far there is a mystery, but not a sci-fi one. Seems to be more of a political one, but we shall see. This was definitely more of a political story rather than sci-fi. Although there is an element of sci-fi to it since there is an enormous amount of technology they have that just simply isn't possible today. But not so far advanced that you couldn't imagine it happening. It really is more of a post-apocalyptic suspense. Overall I enjoyed it. The writing was captivating enough that it kept me interested until the end. It reminded me a lot of The Martian. I can see why they made it into a tv. The story is something that screams that it's written for action on screen. In that way it's a little predictable but still worth the read.
